4 Beach Vacation Beauty Essentials

On a recent trip to Cabo San Lucas, I was inspired to write about my beach vacation beauty essentials. I had been to Cabo once before and had a good idea of what to bring this time around. I have to admit, I love the sun but protecting myself from the dangers are important. Take a peek to see what was inside by beach bag.

1. Dr. Bronners Organic Coconut Oil $11.99: Oh, did I mention that I started my vacation with severely chapped lips? With coconut oil’s anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal properties, it helped calm the extreme redness that was occurring around my lips. Not to mention the constant peeling and flaking was drastically reduced. Poolside, it was used a moisturizer for my hair. Nightly, I used it as an after-sun moisturizer on my face and body. 2. Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 $22.50: This cult favorite was the only SPF lip treatment that didn’t irritate my lips. I tried several other brands with a higher SPF but they all burned when applied. With sugar as a natural humectant and a blend of nourishing oils, my lips were soothed, protected and hydrated.

3. Neutrogena Wet Skin SPF 50 $10.99:  The sun is no joke in Cabo. I wasn’t taking any chances with a lower SPF while sunbathing. Whether I sprayed this onto my dry or wet skin, I didn’t experience any of the white streaks.  I loved this for my constant dips into the pool and ocean.

4. Laura Mercier Foundation Primer-Radiance Bronze $33.00: My secret weapon. This silicone free, hydrating primer gives you a golden “lit from within” look. During the day I would apply this primer over my sunscreen to give myself the most beautiful glow. At night, I substituted this for foundation since my tan would adjust each day.
