DIY Banana Oatmeal Face Mask

Hey friends, I’m feeling a little under the weather so I thought I would do some at home pampering with a DIY Banana Oatmeal Face Mask. This is so simple to make and you can use ingredients from nature and your kitchen!

It’s perfect for this dry, fall/winter weather that leaves your skin feeling dry and flakey. Even gentle enough for sensitive skin.

Bananas are rich in anti-oxidants and moisture making it the perfect base for this mask. Honey is a natural humectant drawing moisture from the air and is anti-bacterial. Oats can gently remove dry & dead skin and also is calming.

Feel free to grind the oatmeal up first or use colloidal oatmeal if you prefer the non-messy version of this mask.

Ingredients:

1/2 Banana

1/4 Oats

1 TBSP. Honey

2 TBSP. Water

Directions:

Mash Banana until it has a creamy consistency. Add oats, honey and water. Mix well until oats are well absorbed. Apply to skin and use oats as a gentle exfoliator. Leave on face for 15 minutes. Remove mask gently with a wash cloth then rinse well. Follow up with your favorite moisturizer.
