Makeup remover or Micellar water? Makeup remover takes away all the makeup you see. However, micellar water removes makeup, toxins, and cleanses the skin. Most importantly it’s designed so you don’t have to wash/rinse your face after. Micellar water gets its name from micelles, small oil molecules in soft water. I am all for taking a shortcut on my skincare regimen. These cleansing waters give you the ability to remove all makeup, oil, and dirt. Your skin will feel moisturized while providing a finished glow. I thought it would be a good idea to head to Sephora and test out three Micellar waters. The cleansing waters I tested were:
After testing the Micellar waters, I came to the conclusion that my top two products were Belif’s “Cleansing Herb Water” and Sephora’s “Triple Action Cleansing Water”. I went into Sephora with one eye full of mascara and the other bare. Using a cotton pad the “Cleansing Herb Water” took away my mascara with one swipe and removed dirt on the bare side of my face too! The “Triple Action Cleansing Water” erased the residue left behind on my face very easily. Both products left my face feeling clean and hydrated. Usually after washing my face I slap on a good amount of moisturizer, although with the micellar water I didn’t feel the need. I would highly recommend micellar water for all skin types no matter if you wear makeup every day or not! Your skin has the chance to be cleansed, hydrated, and revived!
