The Many Uses of Facial Oils

shutterstock_109659785Facial Oils, my absolute favorite beauty item. Why you ask? Because they work wonders not just for your face but the entire body. It is a unisex product everyone can benefit from. Nowadays, you can find them almost anywhere from your local drug store to any department store skincare counter. The types of oil vary however, Argan and Maracuja are two hot items that are trending. Listed below are 12 different ways to utilize face oil:

1. To moisturize your face/neck/lips (Not to be replaced for SPF)

2. To remove eye/lip makeup

3. To use as a hair oil

4. To add highlights to your skin

5. To make your foundation/concealer luminous

6. As a cuticle oil

7. Mix a small amount of your foundation to face oil and apply on to legs for a beautiful sheen.

8. Scented facial oils can be used as a fragrance

9. As a massage oil

10. To relieve dry, cracked skin (hands, elbows, knees, feet etc.)

11. Add to baths as a bath oil

12. To repair split ends

Along with all of the different ways to use facial oils comes the type of oil that will benefit you the most. There are numerous brands of facial oils that have gained popularity and praise. A couple of my favorites include:

Bobbi Brown Extra Face Oil $62: Mmmm, the smell of lavender, patchouli, sandalwood and neroli not only make you feel like you’re running through a fresh lavender field but provide the skin with extreme moisture. Don’t let the price bother you, at $62 dollars a pop this bottle will last you a couple of years. I’ve had mine for over 3 years. And don’t forget that a little bit goes a long way! http://www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com/product/2573/8100/Skincare/Moisturizers

Josie Maran 100% Argan Oil $48: If you prefer something fragrance free and a little lighter on the budget then Josie Maran’s 100% Argan Oil is the way to go. It’s still a fabulous oil, completely vegan, made from natural ingredients, paraben free, made from 100% organic ingredients. Her company gives back to the Morrocan community to help the women that produce the oil as well as protecting the Argan trees.  http://www.josiemarancosmetics.com/shop/purearganoil/organic-argan-oil.
